The Ogun State Commander of Amotekun Corps, Dave Akinremi, has died.
Akinremi a retired Commissioner of Police before he was appointed by Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2021 to man the security outfit, died on Tuesday.
It was reported that the former Amotekun commander battled with an undisclosed illness for some time before passing away.
Soji Ganzallo, the commander of the So-Safe Corps, a different state-owned security organization, verified the occurrence today.
He characterized the passing of Akinremi as a rude shock.
