Opeyemi Bamidele emerges Senate Leader, Umahi Deputy

Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has emerged as the Majority Leader of the 10th Senate.

This was announced by Senate President Goodwill Akpabio at the resumption of plenary on Tuesday.

Former Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, also emerged as the Deputy Majority Leader.

The leaders, who are all of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged through consensus, according to the Senate President.

Mohammed Ali Ndume
Senate Majority Whip

Lola Ashiru
Deputy Majority Whip

Meanwhile, Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Simon Davou Mwadkwom has emerged Minority Leader of the 10th Senate.

Similarly, Oyewumi Kamorudeen Olarere representing Osun West was announced Deputy Minority Leader.

Both Leaders are of the Peoples Democratic Party.
