The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, on Tuesday, announced the passing of Emeritus Professor of Literature and renowned dramatist and poet, John Pepper Clark, at age 87.
According to a statement by his son, Ilaye, the famous writer and activist, “finally dropped his pen in the early hours of today, Tuesday, 13 October.
“Prof. J. P. Clark, as he is fondly called by his many students and associates, has paddled on to the great beyond in comfort of his wife, children and siblings around him.
“The family appreciates your prayers at this time.
“Other details will be announced later by the family.”
