Police arrest kidnappers of UNIJOS students, 27 others

The Plateau State Police Command has paraded not fewer than 30 syndicates for committing various crimes of conspiracy, the kidnap of UNIJos student.

Others were alleged of culpable homicide, rape, and murder including a female trafficker who allegedly stole an Eighth months old baby girl (Nora Joshua ) of Ungwan Nasarawa Gwom of Jos North Local Government Area

The Commissioner of Police, CP Okoro Alawari made this disclosure while Parading the suspects before newsmen at the police command’s headquarters in Jos.

CP Alawari commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for the support given to the security personnel in crime fighting in the state, adding that the crackdown on criminal elements is a continuous exercise that he promised the citizens of the state to ensure crime crime-free society on the Plateau.

He said one of the suspects was a flatmate of the victim’s (Nora Joshua ) parents who enjoyed a cordial relationship when the mother allowed her to stay with her.

He said that the suspects paraded for various crimes was as a result of hard work recorded by the command, saying these suspects were arrested at different locations of Plateau within the shortest period of his assumption of office about a month ago.

CP Okoro revealed that his administration has launched a manhunt on all criminal elements in the State, promising that he will ensure the criminals would all be flushed out of Plateau State.
