The Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon, Ikoyi in Lagos, has confirmed the arrest of those who attempted to kidnap singer Tiwa Savage.
The spokesperson, CSP Oluniyi Ogundeyi, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) confirmed the arrest on Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Lagos.
Oluniyi said, “Yes, we have some suspects, they are in our custody. They are about four.”(NAN)
Recall that NAN and a few bloggers confirmed the news on Friday, April 14, 2023.
Report stated that a staff had been communicating with the gang of abductors about the whereabouts of the singer, however the plan had failed with the help of the singer’s private security’s vigilance.
The report claims the Nigerian Police were equally alerted to save the singer.
The singer also shared a statement of her failed abduction on her Instagram page on Friday, confirming the incident.
