Some armed policemen have reportedly taken over the Ondo House of Assembly complex.

This comes after Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, sued the state House of Assembly to stop the alleged impeachment move against him.

Mr Ajayi filed the suit at the Federal High Court, Abuja through his counsel, I. Olatoke.

Ajayi left the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after his clash with the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, reached its climax last month.

The defendants in the suit include the House of Assembly, the Inspector General of Police, the State Commissioner of Police, Department of State Services and the Speaker of the Assembly, David Oleyeloogun.

Details later.
