Reactions are pouring in over a new reality show, 40 and Fabulous Naija which will air very soon on a channel on Dstv.
The news of the show started surfacing after the biggest Africa’s reality show, Big Brother Naija released date for their official airing.
Netizens have compared the show to Big Brother, after a few snippets were shown. They stated that it is a great thing to have so many reality shows to choose from.
Some referred to the show as a knockoff of Big Brother Naija. Others stated that the show with women over 40 will reduce nudity on screens.
The reality show has multi-talented women over 40 and it helps them to navigate their purpose and aim.
At the premiere of the show, an actress and musician, Jolly Nnenna Abani said the show is to help with career decisions and to regain lost religious, morality and sense of responsibility in the entertainment industry.
She said, “This show is targeted for women who are multi talented, but not sure of their career direction. It will also enable them regain back what the society has denied them in terms of religious, ethnic, responsibilities, family preside and life balancing effect.
“Forty and fabulous will make a strong statement, showing that the world can be properly entertained without an iota of nudity and promiscuity, which have characterised our recent reality shows.”
A fan who is anticipating the show said, “This will be so interesting o.” Another fan agreed saying, “It is interesting that quite a number of reality Tv shows asides from the obvious “one” is out there.
“The platform where these shows air matter a lot as without audience and talk-ability of the show it might not be heard of.
