Shock as polo boss and socialite, Dapo Ojora, dies of apparent suicide

Socialite and brother-in-law to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Dapo Ojora, is dead.

The Lagos socialite and one of the sons of popular business man, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, allegedly shot himself in the head on Friday evening, December 11, 2020 at his home in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Dopa’s death has come a few years after the deceased survived a ghastly car accident, which is why his death is still a shock to many.

Dapo separated from his wife, Patricia, an entrepreneur and a trained lawyer, in 2019.

According to family and friends, this took a toll on him.

However, Dapo and his wife, Patricia put their differences aside when they both hosted the Creme of Lagos Society to their daughter’s wedding in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Reports have it that the bereaved had been struggling financially and that his marriage to Patricia ended.

The younger sister of the late Dopa Ojora, Toyin Saraki nee Ojora, is married to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The Family of the Ojora witnessed similar death and mourning nine years ago when they lost Dapo’s older brother and Scion of their family, Gboyega Ojora, who died of a heart attack at First Consultant Hospital, Ikoyi at the age of 50.

The reason for the alleged suicide is still unknown. The family has said the police is currently investigation the death.
