Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has escaped an alleged kidnap attempt in Buguma, Rivers State.
The singer, who was performing, was whisked away by her security detail after gunshots were heard.
According to an eye-witness, there was an attempt from some guys to kidnap the artiste but her security fired their guns in an attempt to disrupt the performance for her safety.
Another claim stated that some guys were seen fighting and gunshots were heard, resulting in the singer running for her life.
A viral video has been circulating in the media about the performance and the attempt.
There has been little to no investigation about the shootout that occurred during the artiste’s performance over the weekend.
