Sir Ahmadu Bello’s second daughter Aishat dies at 75

The second daughter of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria and Sardauna of Sokoto, Aishat Ahmadu Bello, has passed on.

She died at the age of 75 after a brief illness at a Dubai hospital on Friday.

Before her death, the deceased was a widow to the late Marafan Sokoto, Ahmad Danbaba.

She is survived by five children and a younger sister who is the last daughter of the late Premier and wife of late Umaru Aliyu Shinkafi.

A message announcing her death by a family member was made available to KaftanPost.

It reads, “INNALILLAHI WAINNA ILAIHI RAJIUN.
With full submission to the Will of Allah, the death has been announced of Hajiya Aisha Ahmadu Bello, (the eldest child of Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna and mother to Magajin Garin Sakkwato Hassan Ahmad Danbaba).

“May Allah SWT grant her mercy and reward her with aljannah Fiddaus. And may He grant us fortitude to bear the loss. Amin.
(Arrangements for Janazah to be announced later)” (SIC).

Aishatu’s father, Sir Ahmadu Bello, was the first and only premier of northern Nigeria from 1954 to 1966 when he was killed in a military coup.
