The Sokoto State Government on Tuesday announced another COVID-19 death in the state.
This was confirmed in a post on the state ministry of health official Twitter page.
This brings the total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in the state to thirteen(13)
The post read: “#COVID19Sokoto: Update
Breaking!! Unfortunately, 1 COVID-19 death has been recorded at our Isolation centre.
“This brings the total number of #COVID19 related deaths in Sokoto to 13.”
The state also announced the discharge of 22 patients after showing full recovery from the deadly disease.
The government, however, urged residents of the state to keep calm despite the increasing number of deaths.
Recall that the state’s Commissioner of Land and Housing, Surajo Gatawa, recently died from suspected coronavirus complication.
Nigeria has so far recorded 4641 positive cases and 150 fatalities.
