The traditional ruler of Arigidi Akoko, the home town of Prophet T.B Joshua, Oba Isa Olanipekun, has said that the remains of the prophet must be brought home for last respect from his people.

Oba Olanipekun, who spoke with KAFTAN Post at his palace, said that the burial arrangements will be handled by all and sundry in the four Akoko areas of the state.

“God knows the best, because somebody like Balogun Joshua don’t last. But he has accomplished his mission on earth.

“We can handle all his burial arrangements, not only Arigidi but all the Akokos’, comprising four local governments. We don’t joke with him, we know what he has done for us.

“Prophet had it in mind that he was coming home, so why would they bury him remains in Lagos? That is what he wants!

“He is from here, look at these late pastors, Orimolade was brought to Ikare, Babalola was taken to Ilesha, Obadare was taken to Ikeji-Arakeji in Osun state, among others, so why will ours be different? Is he from Lagos? So, they should please, don’t get the whole Akoko angry with them because all the Obas in Akoko have been calling me in respect of that.

“Some places in Ondo State have no light for the past 6 years but he solved our problems, bought transformers, fixed everything and paid, so it’s not only my battle but the whole Akoko.”

Also speaking, the elder brother, Sunday Balogun, while paying him a condolence at his residence, said the prophet will be missed greatly for his humanitarian service and gesture.

He also said that the remains must be brought home so as to pay him last respect.

“Oriade kii sun ta, he must be buried home being a true son of Akoko” he said.
