Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, announced that tertiary institutions in the state will resume on September 14.
The Governor made this known in his regular briefing on the state’s COVID-19 status.
Primary and secondary schools are also tentatively scheduled to re-open from September 21.
“This decision is not cast in stone and is subject to review of our ongoing modelling and what procedure comes out from the Ministry of Health,” Sanwo-Olu said.
Lagos was the first to order the closure of schools due to coronavirus in March.
The state remains the epicentre of the virus with over 18,000 of the country’s nearly 54,000 cases.
