‘Thank you for tolerating me,’ Buhari tells Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has thanked Nigerians for tolerating him during his eight-year administration which comes to an end on May 29.

Buhari made this claim when he spoke to guests at the ninth and final Sallah homage held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Noting that he must have hurt some people in the course of his duties, the President asked to be forgiven.

“Thank you for tolerating me…I consider myself lucky to have been a governor, minister and head of state and now president for two terms,”

However, Buhari has stressed on several occasions, his desire to retire the Daura, his countryhome at the end of his tenure.
