President Bola Tinubu has made fresh appointments, including two ministers and media aides.
The President approved the nomination of Jamila Bio Ibrahim as the Minister of Youth, pending her confirmation by the Senate.
He also approved the nomination of Ayodele Olawande to serve as the Minister of State for Youth.
Miss Ibrahim is a young medical doctor and most recently served as the President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF).
She has also served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Mr Olawande, meanwhile, is a community development expert and youth leader in the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
He most recently served in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.
In another set of appointments, Kingsley Stanley Nkwocha, a former General Manager and Daily Editor of Leadership Newspaper, was nominated as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Communications in the Presidency.
Nkwocha was appointed alongside several others who will work in the Office of the Vice President.
Tinubu also appointed Tope Fasua, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Analytics Consulting, as the Special Adviser on Economic Affairs in the VP’s office.
According to the list, others appointed to the VP’s office include Sadiq S Jambo as Special Adviser Economy, Dr. Muhammad Bulama, as Senior Special Assistant Special Duty, Mahmud Muhammad as Personal Assistant Domestic North-East, and Ahmed Ningi as Senior Special Assistant Digital Media and Emergency Management.
