We’ll reopen Ganduje’s dollar video investigation – Kano anti-graft agency chief, Rimin Gado

The reinstated Chairman of the Kano State Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado, says the alleged dollar fraud case against former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje would be reopened.

Recalled a video of Ganduje allegedly collecting kickbacks from contractors to the tune of $5 million went viral on social media.

Although the ex-Governor had denied the allegation, saying the videos were doctored and even proceeded to court claiming damages, but Rimin Gado has insisted the case has to be deeply investigated.

Ganduje filed a suit in March 2023 and served EFCC on June 5th, asking the Federal High Court to grant him perceptual injunction against the commission from probing him on the dollar videos.

However, speaking after been reinstated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Rimin-Gado, who was removed by Ganduje after moves to investigate the state’s former first family over alleged financial misappropriation, in compliance to the court order, said the probe was necessary.
