Omotoyosi, who is from a Christian background before and after she married, accepted Islam for the love she has for Islam.
She said she was always happy whenever she sees people going to mosque to pray, especially during the jumat prayer at Oke-Osun central mosque in Ondo west, ondo state.
She converted due to her willingness in joining the religion, and people she normally see around , their behaviour, character and the way they practice religion, which spring the willingness in her to join the religion, which she was baptized by chief imam of the mosque and giving new name “Zainab”.
According to Zainab who refused to disclose her surname said that she was not forced by anybody to convert to Islam, just feel happy seeing Muslim going to mosque everyday most especially on Friday including their dressing.
” the fact that I came from a Christian home and my husband was a Muslim doesn’t mean i should joined Islam, it’s because of the love that I have for the religion that is the more reason why I converted to islam “, she noted.
However while speaking with kaftanpost reporter after jumat on Friday at Oke-Osun central mosque Mrs. Zainab said that she will advice other people who have not joined islam to try and join because islam is a religion of peace and she believed Allah will help them.
Amidu Olosun who gave her Islamic name on Friday said it’s a blessing to islam and Allah said to prophect Mohammed when he was preaching the will of Allah to people that Mohammed should not worries that, him Allah will bless his group and people will be joining his group which is islam, Allah words will continue to came to past all times.
“Nobody forced her to join islam as she said she have the willingness to join and we have done the needful for her by bathing her into islam and giving her new name which is Zainab she had choosing by herself and I pray that Allah will give her the power and energy to be performing the five daily solat as at when due and she will become a blessing to islam”, he explained.
Olosun advised those people who have not converted to Islam should learn from Zainab and ‘we will continue to try our best by preaching the word of Allah to the people so that they can be part of Islam, people should try to b a good ambassador of their religion wherever they find themselves.’
