Afrobeat singer, Okafor Uchenna Victor, aka Mr. Real has revealed why he declined the offer made by Davido to fund his ‘Legbelegbe’ music video.

In an interview on Terms and Conditions podcast, Mr. Real said he had an idea on the alleged gossip and plans made by singer Idowest who had just decamped to the 30BG group at the time.

He said he felt the offer was a trap so they can take advantage of the song and credits for themselves.

Mr. Real said, “This guy, Idowest, had gone to 30BG and said things that I didn’t say. Do you know how I found out? When I was looking for funds to shoot ‘Legbegbe’ video, Idowest and Obadice came and told me that Davido wanted to shoot the video for us.

“But I said I don’t want anyone to shoot the video for me. And the reason why was because I had already seen the green snake and everything he was doing.

“On a norm, how can I reject Davido’s offer to shoot my video? But as a soji guy, me I realised that they want to run me street already; una wan come complete am with the video thing, wey be say na only one scene I go show.”

The song had gone viral in 2018 after its release.
