Skitmaker Lawal Nasiru Bolaji aka Nasboi revealed why he was mimicking Afrobeat singer, Davido, in his skits.
The skitmaker also known as Low Budget OBO in an interview with MTV Base Naija Top 10, said he had mimicked Davido to get his attention.
Nasboi said he had needed Davido to recognise his music talents and he started acting like him.
He said he had no intention of starting skits but he had hopped on it over the excellent reception he got from fans on social media.
The skitmaker said, “I started off mimicking Davido. So, the plan was to get David’s attention for my music. I disturbed this guy till he invited me one day and I started playing my music.
“It started looking like cruise to everybody. So, I said, okay, let’s jump on it.
“That’s how I jumped on it and it started looking like it demanded for me to start making skits. So, I had no option than to make skits.”
