Why I started signing artistes – Rapper Olamide

Popular rapper, Olamide Adedeji, has stated why he founded his record label, YBNL records.

The artiste stated that he had no use of his money and he had wanted to help people.

He made the revelation during an interview with Apple Music Ebro Darden. He said he had been making so much money and he knew he had nothing to do with the money.

Olamide said, “I just started stacking up money and the money was becoming too much for me.

“I’m like, yo, I don’t have anything to do with all this money, mehn, I need to sign new guys.

“Let me spend money on people, you know. It is just like my own little way of giving back to the community.”

YBNL, ‘Yahoo Boy No Laptop’ records was founded in 2012 and has had notable artistes like Lil Kesh, Chinko Ekun, Adekunle Gold, Pheelz, Young John and the recent signees Fireboy DML and Asake.
