Grammy award winner, Damini Ogulu, has stated why he switched his career from a goalkeeper to a musician.

The artiste in an interview with media personality, Julie Adenuga, said he didn’t feel important as a goalkeeper although he liked the sport.

Burna Boy revealed how good he was and how confident he was at his craft but he felt the team would still stand even if he leaves and he wanted to be unique and respected in his craft.

The ‘Last Last’ crooner said, “I love football. I was good at playing football but the wickedest thing was that I was good at goalkeeping.

“That’s why I just stopped because [goalkeeping] was dead. I didn’t feel so important.

“I just didn’t feel like I was needed like that. I felt like without me the team will still be alright. I don’t want to spend my life like that.”

He has been dropping hit songs and receiving plaques since his debut ‘Like To Party’ in 2011.
