A show promoter, Steven, has stated reasons Kizz Daniel refused to perform at a show in Tanzania, resulting in him being locked up.
Recall that on Monday, the artiste was led into a police van for not showing up at a concert in Tanzania. Kizz Daniel was supposed to perform at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena, Tanzania but he didn’t show up leaving fans angry and bittered.
In an interview held by Daddy Freeze, Steven stated that Kizz Daniel refused to perform at the already paid show over a gold chain.
He said the artiste refused to go on stage because his gold chain was in a box still held up at the airport.
According to Steven, they pleaded with Kizz Daniel to go on stage even when he had another chain with him but the BUGA crooner refused.
Steven said, “Kizz Daniel is still locked up at the station, he said the airline did not bring his bag that had his gold chain that’s why he cannot perform.
“Although he had another gold chain on his neck. I spent nothing less than $300,000 on that show. I had the contract with Paulo to bring Kizz Daniel for the show.
“Paulo cried all night calling from America begging Kizz Daniel to perform at the show but he refused.”
The artiste has since been released according to reports from the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.
He was reported to have been detained at the Oyster Bay Police Station Civil Police in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
NiDCOM reports in a tweet that the artiste has been released but his legal team will have to return to the Police station while the artiste is made to return to his country.
“Kizz Daniel has been released. His legal team will, however, report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return to Nigeria,” NiDCOM said.
