Singer Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo aka Blackface, has accused Wizkid, Burna Boy and Asake of copying his songs without permission.
The artiste who was a member of the defunct group, The Plantashun Boiz, said these new artistes steal from him.
He made the comment in an interview on Naija FM, Lagos. He said he doesn’t have a problem when singers sample his songs but it becomes an issue when they do not follow the right step because the original song belongs to him.
Blackface said, “Ginger’ by Wizkid and Burna, my track ‘Twist & Turn’, the rhythms, the beat, how the melody starts and ends. Na only the verses dem change.
“Asake’s ‘Joha’ is [a sample of] my song ‘Ikebe Supa.’ I dey inspire them.”
The singer in the past had accused Tuface for stealing ‘African Queen’ from him.
