You’re building a future for Nigeria, Olusola Oke tells Akeredolu

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Ondo state, Chief Olusola Oke, SAN has commended the wife of Ondo state Governor, Mrs Betty Akeredolu over her initiative in training young school girls on ICT, saying it is a way of making the country good in the nearest future.

The program “BEMORE” is targeted at training the young school girls of secondary school age on how to make and install Solar Power panel and as well, giving them the materials needed to achieve such.

At the opening ceremony of the 4th edition of the programme on Monday in Akure, the state capital ,Oke said the programme is to fill the skill education gap in ICT and Solar energy for the secondary school age girl.

In his words, he said the programme is beyond politics and according to the testimonies from the past participants, it should be adopted by government for the betterment of the society.

“One of the challenges confronting our nation is poverty” To solve the problem of poverty, patronages, individual assistance to the needy in our immediate visage can not be sufficient. Skill acquisition is the way to go. That is the main focus of this iconic initiative of BEMORE”

“The fact speaks for itself; BEMORE is beyond politics. Its major aim is to train the minds of the girl child, equip them with skills and right mentality about the power in their ability”

“Its sustainability will help our society, foster development and the people at large” he said

However, the wife of the governor appreciated the parents for the trust repose in the program and the believe that a girl child can do better in the society if well trained.

” My focus is mainly on the young girls to train them how to better and climb the social ladder for themselves and the country in general”
