The corpse of a 10 year-old girl identified as Taye, was allegedly found inside a stationed vehicle at a mechanic workshop in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, on Thursday morning.
The girl, who was said to be living with her single mother and her twin sister, got missing on Wednesday, before her corpse was discovered in the workshop behind their street in Ajilosun area of Ado-Ekiti.
KaftanPost correspondent learnt, through a source in the Ajilosun area of Ado-Ekiti, close to the scene of the event, that a young man in a romantic affair with the young girl’s mother, eventually led a search to where the decomposing body of the girl was found.
According to the informant, who affirmed that the Ado Police command raided some boys who were suspected to be members of a cybercrime syndicate, popular known as Yahoo Plus.
The boyfriend of the late girl’s mother was also suspected.
According to the informant, the Taye left home on the said date, wearing an RCCG vest. The pieces of the vest were found inside the room of one of the street boys that were raided, including a syringe suspected to have been used to drain her blood.
This led to the search for the girl, until her lifeless body was discovered at a mechanic workshop behind the street, with bruises over..
The body has been carried away by the police, while some suspects in connection with the case were arrested.
