Harmattan is fast approaching if not in some states already. A confused season, as it’s fondly called. It is either cold or too sunny, too hot or too chilly. Most times, it changes more than two times in 24hours.
Harmattan leaves the skin dry, lips chapped and one has to be well moisturized and prepared for the season.
It is also known for its dryness and dustiness characteristics. You feel too lazy to wake up in the morning since you want to remain curled up in your duvet or your lover/spouse’s arms, especially if you live in a place surrounded by mountains and nature.
However, there is always work to be done, offices to go to, meetings to attend, casual dates and outings.
So are you wondering what to wear and still remain stylish as ever during this harmattan season? Here are 6 ways to dress up this season without doing too much while still stylish.
1. BLAZERS
You want to remain warm this season and still look good? Go for blazers. There are various ways to rock a blazer either as a man or a woman, either for work or for casual meeting and dates. As a man, you can wear your blazers on a tee shirt or a plain shirt, styled with nice footwears of your choice. As a lady, you can wear either a round tee-shirt, a lacy top or something plain, styled with either sneakers or pumps, depending on what you are going for.
2. TURTLENECKS
This is a great way to cover up from the neck down to wherever, since there are turtleneck gowns as well as tops. You can pair them with a jacket, a loose cardigan or a blazer.
3. DENIM JACKETS
A denim jacket is a match made in heaven for harmattan. You can keep it buttoned up or leave it open, either ways, you can wear this to the office and casual outings if paired right.
4. LEATHERS
Time to embrace those leather pieces you’ve been keeping in your wardrobe all year long. It’s time for extra warmth. You can wear them as trousers or as jackets. Both works fine.
5. TWO PIECE
The two piece style is here to stay. It works for every season and can be worn in different ways. There are pant suits, floral styles, material styles.
6. SCARF
Invest in some good thick scarves. You can either opt for coloured floral scarves or a neutral tone ones for a more corporate look.
