At least 895 Nigerians stranded in the United Kingdom and Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, returned home on Tuesday, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has said.
While 590 were evacuated from the UK, NIDCOM said 305 made their way from the UAE.
Announcing via Twitter, NIDCOM said the evacuees arrived in three different flights at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
It said the returnees would undergo 14-day isolation in line with the guidelines of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control as well as the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
