Afrobeat singer and saxophonist, Seun Kuti, has reacted to his release from police custody.
Recall that Kuti who was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer was charged in court.
He was subsequently remanded for days at the Lagos State Criminal, Investigations, and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Panti, Yaba on the orders of a Magistrate Court.
However, human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, confirmed Kuti’s release on Tuesday.
He tweeted: “Just to announce that @RealSeunKuti has been released from @PoliceNG detention in Lagos. Hasta la victoria siempre!”
In reaction, Seun on his Instagram Story thanked everyone and his wife for their support.
He wrote, “I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends showed up! Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife@chefyiedekuti.”
