Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has tested negative for the coronavirus.
The governor announced this on Thursday via a tweet where he shared a message sent to him by the commissioner for health.
“I just received the above text from the Commissioner for Health regarding my #Covid19 test results. We give all glory to God. Wish everyone affected speedy recovery,” he added.
“Our fight to protect the lives of our citizens continues. Huge thanks to all front line key workers fighting to protect our people.”
Ondo is the only state in the South West region that has not recorded any case of the coronavirus.
