American actor, Kevin Spacey, charged with sexual assault

American actor, Kevin Spacey, has been charged with sexual assault offences with three men. The assault is reported to have lasted for eight years.

The actor will be prosecuted for four counts of sexual assault. The assault against the three men occured between 2005 and 2013 in London and Gloucestershire.

He went through a thorough investigation in 2017 with the Met Police.

Kevin is accused of ‘causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent’.

According to the Crown Prosecution Service, a man now in his 40s claimed he was sexually assaulted twice in March 2005. Another man in his 30s said he was assaulted and forced to engage ina sex act in August 2008 in London.

The third man claimed he was sexually assaulted in Gloucestershire in April 2013. He is in his 30s.

Tje Head of the CPS Special Crime Division, Rosemary Ainslie, said, “The CPS has authorised criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men.

“He has also been charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. The charges follow a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation.

“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial.”

Kevin is best known for the roles in dome Hollywood best hits in the past three decades. He is known for TV shows like House of Cards, Horrible Bosses, American Beauty, Baby Driver, etc.

He was the artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre in London between 2004 and 2015.

In 2017, the Old Vic Theatre said it has received about 20 complaints and testimonies about his inappropriate misconduct.

He was interviewed by the Metropolitan Police’s Complex Case Team in America in 2019 and a file was passed to the CPS in 2021.
