Lagosians woke up Saturday to the sad news of another fire incident in their mega city as a suspected transformer explosion set a building on fire at FESTAC Town.
The overnight inferno at 7th Avenue L Close was coming barely two weeks after a fatal gas explosion at nearby Abule Ado which caused the death of no fewer than 20 persons and damaged several properties running into hundreds of millions of Naira.
The FESTAC Town incident which started at about 2 a.m.affected many shops and buildings in the area.
It is believed to have been caused by exploded electrical transformer.
