Asake reacts as woman crushed at Brixton 02 concert dies

The woman that was crushed at singer Asake’s London concert has died following injuries from the stampede.

The woman identified as Rebecca Ikumelo and many others were injured at Asake’s last round of concert in England. She was 33.

According to reports, she died on Saturday. She is from Newham, East London.

The O2 Academy Brixton said it was “deeply saddened” to hear Ikumelo had died.

There have been tons of tweets of tribute. One London Mayor Sadiq Khan wrote in a tweet he was “heartbroken” by the death.

Mr Khan tweet read, “Rebecca had her whole life ahead of her and on behalf of all Londoners, I would like to extend my condolences to her family, friends and loved ones at this extremely difficult time.”

The singer has reacted to the death of Ikumelo.

He expressed his sadness and grief. He wrote, “I am devastated by the news that Rebecca Ikumelo who was in a critical condition since Thursday has sadly passed away. My sincerest condolences to her loved ones at this time.

“Let us please keep her family in our prayers. have spoken to them and will continue to do so.am overwhelmed with grief and could never have imagined anything like this happening.

“My team and are still awaiting the full debrief back from the Venue management and the Police to determine what exactly led to all the disruption caused and ultimately to Rebecca’s passing.If you have any relevant information relating to this please do reach out to the Metropolitan Police.”

At least two women are still in critical conditions according to Met Police.
