Nollywood actresses, Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing, have reacted to bans and threats they received from the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, (TAMPAN).

Earlier today, KAFTAN Post reports revealed TAMPAN issuing a statement to stop directors from working with Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing over their continuous stand concerning their fellow colleague, Baba Ijesha, who is currently in an alleged rape case.

However, Ojo and Blessing have reacted to the threats. Iyabo Ojo took to her Instagram page on June 28, 2021.

She wrote, “SILENCE IS GOLDEN is why a lot of our girl or boy child get abused, molested or raped daily & yet they’re afraid to SPEAK UP… because they’ll be bullied to silence by the same society meant to protect them..

“Silence ain’t golden in Nigeria.” In her caption, she wrote, “I can never be silenced, know that & know God periodt.”

Nkechi showed up in the comment section. She wrote, “Nobody can even collect my voice.”

She went ahead to post on her own IG page. In a series of posts, she wrote, “Whoever that has gone extra miles to see you in pains and make you cry. Heavens will go extra miles to frustrate their efforts IJN Amen.

“For as many that sits and hits their chest that they will frustrate me…God will disgrace their entire generation publicly…only if I do not serve God.

“Sir, can you boldly tell the world why you are pained. I guess not. Ewo Efimisile.

“Real people don’t have too many friends and that is okay. Never Ever be bullied into silence. Good morning and have a productive new week.”
