Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface, has expressed his excitement at playing in his first Champions League encounter during his team’s 4-0 victory against Feyenoord on Thursday.
In a post retrieved from Fabrizio Romano’s X handle on Friday, Boniface reflected on his career, recalling how, as a young footballer, he used to pay N30 to watch Champions League matches and is now realizing his dream by playing in the same league.

He said: “From paying 30 naira to watch the Champions League… to playing my first Champions League game. Proud of this moment.”
It is worth mentioning that the German club signed Boniface from Union SG to Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 in a deal for about €21.7m.
Leverkusen will visit Wolfsburg on Sunday as they seek to defend the Bundesliga title they won last year, ending Bayern Munich’s record of 11 successive league wins.
