Nigeria has recorded its first coronavirus death, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed on Monday.
According to the NCDC, the case is Suleiman Achimugu, a 67-year-old male, who is a former Managing Director of Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.
He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma and diabetes and was undergoing chemotherapy.
Recall that about 36 confirmed cases have been recorded in Nigeria with Lagos having the lion share with 25.
