Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Managing Director of Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing system for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) Aliyu Abdulhameed over corruption allegations.
Abdulhameed was relieved of his duties on Thursday afternoon, and was escorted out of office.
“His exotic official vehicles were all withdrawn from him,” an insider who claimed anonymity told newsmen.
“He left the office in a small Ford vehicle and was grandstanding that he would soon be back.”
Recall that reports corrupt practices forced the Central Bank of Nigeria to suspend funding for NIRSAL last year.
