Grammy award winner, Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, has become the first African artiste to top the UK charts with a Number 1 with his album ‘I Told Them.’
The album which is the artiste’s seventh album was released on August 25, 2023 and has quickly secured the number 1 this week.
He was presented with a plaque by the British record chart company on their Twitter page.
The tweet read, “He told them! @burnaboy makes UK chart HISTORY today as he claims his first Number 1 album.”
In response to that, Burna Boy tweeted, “Let’s Have It! #ITOLDTHEM #ITOLDTHEMNUMBER1.”
