The Christ Embassy Church is currently facing a series of investigations as they were reported to have breached COVID-19 protocol by organising a gathering in Ghana.

According to the Ghanaian Police, the church held a programme titled “Pneumatic Night’ and the hall, Fantasy Dome, was filled to the brim without any precautions.

A video showed the happy members as they held their service on April 30, 2021.

However, in a statement issued on Sunday, May 2, 2021 and signed by the Superintendent of Police, Sheilla Kessie Abayie-Buckman, the church didn’t adhere to the laid down rules for large gatherings, forcing them to close the Fantasy Dome, with prosecution if found guilty.

An excerpt of the statement reads: “PRESS RELEASE: Christ Embassy Youth Church “Pneumatic Night”.

“The Police is investigating alleged gathering by the Youth of the Christ Embassy Church at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Center, Accra On Friday, April 30, 2021, in flagrant disregard of COVID-19 Protocols.

“Trending videos of the alleged gathering, dubbed “Pneumatic Night” shows a non-mask wearing leaders, putting the entire country at risk of spreading COVID-19.

“The Police did not provide security for the said event. Intact, the organizers did not give notice of the event to any Police officer or station…”
