One of the two confirmed Covid-19 cases in Enugu State has now tested negative, the state government said on Sunday.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had announced eight new cases on Saturday night, taking the tally to 97.
According to NCDC, two persons in Enugu tested positive for the dreaded virus.
In a shocking twist of event, however, the state government has declared one free from the pandemic.
This was made known in a live press briefing by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
It would be recalled that a 70-year-old woman tragically died of alleged stigmatisation after testing negative to the virus.
