The Lagos State Government has activated a new oxygen plant at the Yaba Infectious Diseases Hospital.

The state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this through a Twitter post on his official twitter handle, on Sunday.

The tweet read: “In the midst of increasing #COVID19 cases, we have some good news from our Infectious Diseases Hospital.

“We have activated a new oxygen plant which will help by providing much needed oxygen to patients. The plant will supplement oxygen supply to about 300 cylinders per day and 6 cylinders per hour.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu restated the Lagos State Government’s commitment to ensure all COVID-19 patients in the centre get the best treatment.

He also warned residents against thinking that the virus is a hoax, considering the surge of Covid-19 cases in the state and the country at large.

“Lagosians, #COVID19 is not a glamorous disease, neither is it a hoax, Sanwo-Olu said.

“You need to follow the safety guidelines to safeguard your friends and loved ones.”
