COVID-19: Ondo confirms three new cases, records two deaths

The Ondo State Government says it has recorded three new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the state to 28.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu made this known on Monday via his twitter handle.

Two patients also died of coronavirus-related complications in the state.

The third case is currently at the IDH in Akure undergoing treatment.

Akeredolu said, “Today, we recorded three new cases and an unprecedented number of deaths from #COVID19Nigeria in Ondo State.

“Two of the new cases passed on at UNIMED in Ondo town this morning. The third case is currently at the IDH in Akure undergoing treatment.”

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced that Nigeria had recorded 307 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 10,162.
