The Oyo State Government has announced the discharge of 95 COVID-19 patients, the most recoveries in the state.
Governor Seyi Makinde made this known via his Twitter handle on Saturday.
He explained that the patients were discharged from the government facility after their second test results came out negative.
According to the governor, who is also the head of the state’s COVID-19 Taskforce, this brings the total number of recoveries to 271.
Makinde, however, disclosed that the results of the confirmation test for 35 suspected cases of COVID-19 came back positive.
The governor added that the new cases were reported from nine local government areas of the state.
They include Ido (7), Ibadan South-West (5), Ibadan North (5), Ibadan North-West (5), Oluyole (3), Ibadan North East (3), Ibadan South East (3), Egbeda (3), and Ogbomosho North (3).
As of Friday evening, Oyo has 469 cases, with 246 on admission and seven deaths.
