Nigerians celebrities, who are still in shock, have poured out their tributes to Davido’s aide and close friend, Obama DMW, who passed on yesterday, June 29 from a heart failure.
Celebrities like Tiwa Savage, Peruzzi, and others have reacted to the news, mourning their friend, although Davido is yet to react to the sad news.
Female singer Tiwa Savage posted a tribute to the deceased on her Instagram page, on Wednesday morning, June 30.
She described Obama as a pure heart and peace maker.
An excerpt of her caption reads: “Braveheart, strong heart, soft heart, kind heart, pure heart, peacemaker, hot stepper, incoming politician, I know you’d want me to add ‘stylish’ to this list but ummmm… yeah lol…
“…you were ready to take a bullet for your loved ones. 44 my black president, you chilling now, resting well, away from this cruel world.
“All your boys are a wreck, I’m sure you see them all crying like babies. You better tell them to be strong men. Singer Mayorkun took to his Instagram to post heartbreaking emoji with no words.
A member of Davido’s crew, Peruzzi, also posted on his Instagram page yesterday after the death of his close friend went viral. “You had the answers to all my questions about life. This one hits different. Love you forever,” he said.
Music executive, Soso Soberekon, on his Instagram page wrote, “44 forever OBAMA. My friend. My Brother. From our Rita Lori days almost 20 years ago to 30bg you kept it real with me. We lost a Soulja.”
BBNaija star, Ike Onyema, addressed people showing fake love to the news of Obama’s death. According to them, they didn’t celebrate him when he was alive so they should ‘f*** off.’
