Popular singer, Davido, has lost yet another close aide, Fortune, aged 24.
Celebrity photographer, Fortune Umunnane, popularly known as Fortune, who happens to be Davido’s personal photographer, was reported dead an hour ago after he drowned at a location in Lekki, Lagos State on Tuesday evening, September 21, 2021.
The news of Fortune’s death comes barely three months after Davido lost a close friend and business associate, Habeeb Ademola Uthman, known as Obama DMW, who died as a result of a heart condition.
Fortune’s death was announced by his friend Diana on twitter, as she wrote, “Davido’s photographer Fortune is dead. Jesus Christ. F#ck I’m heartbroken, he’s my friend. I’m so heartbroken. It shouldn’t have been fortune God, he’s hardworking, very ambitious, he worked so hard to gain the spot he achieved like wtf.”
Sympathizers and followers have turned in condolence messages and reactions after her post.
A user wrote, “Fortune i was at his house last month, we still spoke on phone last week, he uploaded his WhatsApp status yesterday!!! seeing this news breaks my heart, Fortune pick your calls please ?????, we call him skinny. Fortune how do we explain to your parents nahh ?????”
Another user wrote, “Davido needs to look inward, something might be wrong somewhere, he’s losing too many of his men lately.”
“Sacrifice leave it or take it,” a twitter user said.
A fellow church member and close friend to the late photographer reacted on his WhatsApp status.
“Omo!!!!! i’m so pained?? i don’t know how to react! His sister is on my whatsapp! They’re both my church members??? This guy worked so hard to gain this spot to become a celebrity photographer.” He said.
Davido is yet to react to the sad news.
