Emmy Award winner, Hal Holbrook, dies aged 95

Emmy award-winning actor, Hal Holbrook has died, aged 95.

According to a source, the actor’s personal assistant, Joyce Cohen, confirmed his death on Monday night and posted it on February 2, 2021.

Hal passed away on January 23, 2021 in Beverly Hills, California, United States.

Born February 17, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, the American actor, television director, and writer, first received critical claim in 1954 for a One-man State show he developed, “Mark Twain Tonight”.

His personal assistant, Cohen, didn’t state the cause of death.

His statement reads; ““Hal passed away at his home in Beverly Hills, California on Monday night.

“He will be greatly missed by his family, fans and everyone who loved him.

“We pray for the gentle repose of his soul.”

He has been laid to rest at McLemoresville Cemetery in Tennessee, alongside wife, Dixie Carter.

Hal’s great works include; into the wild (2007), Magnum Force (1973) , Men of horror (2000).
