#EndSARS anniversary: October 2020 happened, lives were lost – Djinee

Afrobeat singer, Osayamwen Donald popularly known as Djinee, has reacted to #EndSARS memorial/anniversary.

Djinee, in a post made on his Instagram page, has said no amount of cover-ups can deny the event that took place on October 20, 2020.

According to the artiste, lives were lost and so many were injured and still traumatized till the present day.

He said, “October 2020 happened, lives were lost during the and that no amount of denials, propaganda and publicity stunts will change that.”

Djinee also lamented on the citizens who have chosen to keep silent on troubling issues in the nation.

He emphasized on citizens who have traded their “conscience for appointments and envelopes.”

“We are not going to move past this like every other thing. What saddens me the most is that a lot of us have traded our conscience for appointments and envelopes.

“Retribution beckons, it will hit when we least expect and in ways that are unimaginable.”

Djinee is best known for his debut single “Ego”, which was released in 2006.
