Several inmates have escaped from prison on Sapele Road in Benin City, Edo State capital after hoodlums stormed the facility on Monday morning.
The incident comes after reports that the #EndSARS protest against police brutality and extrajudicial killings had been hijacked by hoodlums.
Videos of inmates escaping through the fence have gone viral on social media.
