Enugu leads 4 other states with 49 new COVID-19 cases; 12 discharged, 0 death on May 14

Nigeria, on Friday, recorded 49 fresh cases of coronavirus.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) which announced this via Twitter, also confirmed the country’s tally as 165, 661.

According to the agency, the fresh cases was recorded in five states.

Enugu led the way with 22, followed by Lagos (18), Rivers (6), Akwa Ibom (2) and Edo (1).

The NCDC also revealed that 12 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 156, 399.

However, no new death was recorded, keeping the country’s fatality at 2,066.

Lagos remains the epicentre with 58,697 infections.

The Federal Capital Territory is next with 19, 838 followed by Kaduna (9,068), Plateau (9,060) and Rivers (7,166).
