EPL Gameweek 4: What to expect from the top teams

The first match of the week at early kickoff will see Manchester united looking to build on their impressive victory against Liverpool and continue their campaign away at Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

The red devils recorded a morale-boosting victory last time out and will aim to continue their impressive record of not losing any competitive match against Southampton at any venue since 2003.

The 19 times champions of England recently signed Brazilian midfielder Casemiro from Real Madrid this week and he will hope to make his premier league debut this weekend.

Later in the day, Chelsea and Liverpool will both aim to bounce back from last week’s defeats when they host Leicester City and Bournemouth respectively. The blues were humbled away at Leeds United last weekend and will hope a return to Stamford Bridge this time around will bring better fortune for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Liverpool will also aim to record their first win of the season against newly promoted Bournemouth at Anfield. The reds are unbeaten in their last 33 matches against newly promoted sides and will aim to extend their dominance this weekend.

Manchester City recovered from two goals deficits against Newcastle last weekend to rescue a point and will host in form Crystal palace at the Etihad stadium. The champions failed to win any of their two matches against Palace last season.

Arsenal, the only team left to drop a point this season will aim to continue their impressive start to the season with another victory against newly promoted Fulham.

Nottingham Forest with their impressive start back to the top flight will host unbeaten Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday night to wrap up the week.
