Trading activities on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange yesterday opened week in a positive note, appreciating by N50 billion.
Specifically, market capitalisation of listed equities increased by 0.45 per cent to N11.174 trillion from N11.124 trillion reported on Friday.
The NSE All Share Index also appreciated by 134.09 basis points to 29964.79 from 29830.70 traded previously.
Investors traded 124.126 million shares worth N1.026 billion in 2438 deals against 206.301 million shares cost N2.747 billion exchanged hands in 3538 deals.
A review of transactions showed that Dangote Cement led gainers table during the day, appreciating by N3.00 to close at N189.00, Wapco followed with a gain of N0.25 kobo to close at N12.50 kobo, United Capital Plc increased by N0.15 kobo to close at N2.98 kobo, Diamond Bank added N0.07 kobo to close at N2.09 kobo while Dangote Floor grew by N0.05 kobo to close at N6.30 kobo.
On the contrary, indicated that Guinness Nigeria Plc recorded the highest loss during the day, declining by N1.00 to close at N65.00, Nahco trailed with a loss of N0.39 kobo to close at N3.21 kobo, Linkage Assurance declined by N0.07 kobo to close at N0.59 kobo, Wapic Insurance fell by N0.04 kobo to close at N0.40 kobo while Jaiz Bank went down by N0.03 kobo to close at N0.50 kobo.
The result also showed that Diamond Bank Plc recorded the highest volume of activities during the day, exchanging 44.000 shares valued at N90.821 million Access Bank Plc followed with account of 16.451 million shares valued at N92.309 million, Zenith international Bank sold 12.194 million shares valued at N265.933 million, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp) sold 9.783 million shares valued at N12.419 million while United Bank for Africa traded 5.904 million shares cost N43.850 million
